Is the track open to camp at if we arrive Friday night 7-7-06 late? We are coming from Bellingham and have no place to stay otherwise. :(
Also do they have shower facilities there?
Were looking forward to this as we have never been to Spokane. :)

They do have showers there. Not the nicest facility but it is nice that they are there. I will be using them. Not sure about camping. I will be showing up late too.

I'm assuming we can camp there Friday and Saturday night too. Hell I'm showing up on Thursday night late (11-midnight) and if I can't get in I'm gonna go find a place to park the RV. Of course I'll have an RV so my situation is different.
Absolute worst case I'm going to my GrandPa's place in Mead (just north of Spokane).

Yes, they have showers but they get worse and worse every year but hell, they work and its better than not having one. Having said that, I still can't believe that Portland and SEattle don't have any yet and PIR stopped letting us have running water?????????
The gate is usually left open pretty late, if its closed, then just park and sleep on the entrance road.

Luke and Joel can correct me if I'm wrong but I remember at the general meeting talk of someone being at the gate Friday night until 10pm taking money and handing out wristbands. The gates will remain open all night but you must pay for your gate fee and get your wristband before you can register for races on Saturday. I guess non-racers will just have to be on the honor system. The hope is to have wristbands at registration but we will have to play that one by ear. I really hope I don't have to send people back out to the gate before they can register.

I'm going over after work too (leaving around 5:30) but I plan to just park at the gate worst case.
But I figure since Sully's school is running today and he'll be running the track day tomorrow that someone will be in the track and perhaps we'll be able to get in. :)

Shellie is correct. WMRRA will only be manning the gate until 10pm, after that you can get in but you will not be able to get teched or register until you have a wristband and everyone will be checking.

That was an AWESOME weekend.
Oh and the showers aren't that bad...just roll the big ass rock behind the door if you want your privacy.

Couldn't make it this weekend and I was sad the whole time. How did things go for the Novice group?

First off there the grid was only 20 people. That kicked ass!
We had several get offs in each race but no ambulance on the track.
At this point I love Spokane over Pacific even though there is zero to no run off in key corners in Spokane.
Oh and that front straight....talk about long. :)
