Last I heard was that he has some broken ribs, collar bone, wrist and I think a dislocated shoulder. He apparently was walking and talking...if I could hear properly from the broken cel phone conversation I had with Oli.

I talked to his wife last night when she got home - broken ribs on left side, fractured wrist, broken collar bone, medically knocked out until they assess some other possible injuries.

The overview is he crashed on the exit of the bus stop and then got ran over by the rider behind him.

Vicki Haneckow to Oliver,
show details 11:27 PM (11 hours ago)
Hi
First, let me start by extending my deepest gratitute to Dan, Dale, Olie, James, Kevin, and Brian for all your help in getting me thru this aftn, packing the rig, getting the cats home safely, etc. To Brent, my welfare is huge, and he loves those cats more than you can imagine, so pls know how important it is to him that you all did what you all did. Olie, pls tell James. Dale, a special thx to you for driving us all home and maneuvering the not-so-petite-rig with the talking cats in the cab.
Brent is doing as well as can be expected. He has broken ribs on both sides and a very minor spinal fracture and a very minor wrist fracture. Badly broken collarbone that will need to be plated in a few wks. 3 chest tubes and is intubated but they hope to take the mouth tube out tomorrow. He is deliberately unconscious (sedated) but I have been there when he starts to come around and he is indeed responsive and the brain that never sleeps, of course, is not. He can do the one squeeze for "yes"/two squeeze for "no" when I speak to him [he can't speak because the tube is in his mouth] and when the medical staff talks to him, he is able to follow their commands (i.e., stop biting the tube, stop trying to spit it out). I was in there tonight when a neurologist came in to check on him. He very quickly and deliberately moved each paw when requested and lifted legs, etc. Not shaky. Left wrist didn't move as well, but that's the one with the slight fracture and its tightly wrapped and swollen and all. They did other neuro tests and said they all checked out well. So again, no apparent spinal cord damage or brain damage. They don't seem to think there is a concussion, which surprises me a little. The helmet does not look bad, though, and it tends to corroborate what they are saying.
His vitals are good, strong, and steady and they said he is recovering as best as can be expected. They might put an epidural (sp?) in him tomorrow, as they expect he'll start coughing crap out of his lungs, which will hurt like hell. I just got off the phone with the nurses station a few minutes ago and they confirmed that he's doing fine tonight and is stable.
He is in Harborview in the Maleng building on the 9th floor of the ICU. He may be in there for 5 -7 or so days -- they don't know. I believe he can have visitors. Most of y'all are not the flower-sending type, and I would strongly discourage it. He hates flowers and is terribly allergic, so please, nobody do that! Just keep him in your thoughts.

Please do not pass rumors of what you've heard. I'll update based on information I receive from his wife.
From Brent's Wife.
He is stable and slowly improving. No backsliding. Still on ventilator, but they did a trial run and he's able to breathe on his own. He just does a little better on the vent. They hope to wean him off it today and remove the mouth tube. Still heavily sedated.
Right now, he has the broken clavicle, 7 broken ribs, a very minor wrist fx, a very minor spinal fx and that's the extent of it. No spinal cord damage, no brain damage.

All the best to you Brent! I am so sorry to hear this. I know you will pull through this just fine you stubborn old man (hell you have to be a few days older than me!) ;)
I hope someone let us know if Brent can take visitors. I hate hospitals but always come see my friends...just ask Fratini!

No visitors - he's still heavily sedated. Family only still at this point.

Vicki Haneckow to Oliver, (7 hours ago)
Hi
Not much to report today -- mostly a stable day. Not much for improvements, nor setbacks.
They REALLY want the breathing tube out and for him to be off the ventilator. They tried it Monday nite but were unsuccessful. Today (Tues) they did remove the tube and the ventilator this morning and he did okay for awhile, but it became too painful and he was struggling too much, so they ended up intubating him again and had to put him back on the ventilator. He's heavily sedated most of the time but when he starts coming off the pain meds a bit, he recognizes the family members who arrived today and he sorta communicates.
They'll try again tomorrow to remove the tube and the ventilator. Today he had his first food since Sunday morning, but its liquid, via a tube in his nose. Once they get the breathing tube out (hopefully tomorrow) they will try to give him real food.
That's about it. Like I said, mostly a stable day today.

I just met Brent for the first time on Saturday. He let me borrow some super glue which I was manically searching for in the pits. He had some great advice for me as well and I could immediately sense that this was one super cool guy. Best wishes for a speedy recovery Brent!

Just want to report that Brent is continuing to improve. Also that He and Vicki are very grateful for all of the prayers and get well wishes. They are requesting that for the next few days we would continue to hold off the visits so that Brent can get as much rest as possible. We will post when visiting will be ok. Thank you all again for all of the support

From Vicki
Tuesday May 18th:
His 10 days in ICU are done and he's now been transferred to the 'regular' part of Harborview -- rm 709 in the East Wing, bed 1. I'd still prefer no visitors yet, though, as he just landed there this aftn... he is still confused and working his way off the drugs... and needs to rest tomorrow for his clavicle surgery on Thursday. No plans to plate the ribs anymore.
Labs and vitals are still good. Hasn't had a fever for days now. Wish he'd drink and eat more to flush the meds, etc., thru his system, but he's getting there. This is his 2nd day of eating/drinking on his own.
Today he was more lucid but then starts chattering about needing to arrange dyno time with Dan Zlock and work on an exhaust system. Wants "the data" to analyze (hmm...data withdrawal .... for some, its likely worse than morphine withdrawal..) ... and he wants us to smuggle "at least one cat" into Harborview to see him.
His brother took dictation today and I don't yet have the notes, so no Brenticisms tonight.. sorry. So far we have four pages of quotes, though, so don't fear... Years worth of material, People... y-e-a-r-s!
