Is it possible? A repave of turn 2? :wow:

Can anyone (Nico) comment?

A repave in the new configuration, or the old (current) configuration? I am always confused by the car turn counting system (3A/3B? 5A?), but maybe our turn 9 is getting patched (car turn 8)?

Veddy interestink.

There was discussion about repairs to T2 and T9.

For several years we have identified these specific areas (and others) as needing work asap.

It is getting to the point where the must fix them or not have a surface capable of running events.

Pacific mentioned repairs. But they have done so in the past.

I will be excited when then asphalt trucks actually roll... And hope they dont make it bumpy...

i dont ride but just looking at T9 and some other turns, they look bad, it must be much worse riding on it. should be nice to have the fixed.

T9 is not that bad as long as someone remembers to weed the cracks prior to any event...

I'm sure if you say its so, its so...

I'm not even gonna bother going back 2 weeks on your posts looking for any "irregularities"...

However T2 today isn't the same as T2 of even a couple of years ago... It really went down hill fast.

I'm glad that this is done.

They promised, but I wasn't sure I believed them.

Good for us and them!!!!!

I've known about it for 3 months Eric.

The reason why nothing was said was it was an agreement between all the organizations and the track NOT to make any of it public until it happened.

Not because anything was meant to be hidden. It was because Pacific Raceways has had a history of making promises and not following through with them, for whatever reason. Neither one of us wanted to have egg on our face or give any false hopes.

The main thing PR needed was a weather window. They got that in the middle of February but right when they were expecting to start the prep work, there were complications w/the paving company getting the oil. That postponed things a couple weeks and they needed another weather window.

Obviously, they got it. I was going to make an announcement tomorrow night after they put the final overaly down but I guess theres no need for this.

There are future plans for the track but I will not discuss, per my agreement with Pacific Raceways. I will say that the track is making a good faith effort at improving the facility and they have my support in doing so.

Thank you Pacific Raceway!

The future of road racing in Seattle is beginning to emerge through the mist.

To whatever extent the club leadership was involved in this effort, THANK YOU!

No matter what anyone thinks about Pacific Raceways, without that track this club wouldn't amount to much more that this web site. GOOD WORK!

I'm glad I had the opportunity to experience T2 as it was... I might miss the "reference points" in the pavement, but I should count myself lucky it only ate my bike once.

Thanks for posting photos! Can't wait to see how it changes times and strategy.

here ya go...from about 10 mins ago from Butter Bean!

Whoa...

Any information on the surface material? Same stuff as Portland that is supposed to hold up for years and years? Not much good if it is going to look like the Daytona Supercross course after a year of hard braking from bikes and cars...
