Okay, here it comes.... words cannot express how thankful I am for ALL of the help Dave Alexander provided during my first time out to Fontana this past weekend....so I will use those silly little emoticons :hail::hail::hail::hail:
I'm not so sure if many folks realize just how lucky we are to have Dave show up at the WMRRA events to assist so many riders in one weekend. The depth of his suspension and engine building knowledge is incredible! Likewise, it's simply amazing how he managed to find the time last year to help out at the local Washington events with a FULL committment to Larry Pegram's team for the AMA Superbike Series, and a committment to Sam Halbert for the Flat Track Grand National Championship Series!
This weekend, Dave hopped a flight at the last minute to come down and help John Friesen and his son, Raynor, with their bikes ...of course, he ended up (once again) taking care of, and assisting multiple bikes and riders in one weekend. To watch him go from working on a NCR Millona Superbike -- then jump straight to a Yamaha R6...dang!!:wow::wow:
Furthermore, my R6 still handled incredibly well at Fontana with the re-worked stock suspension that Dave put together for the 2009 season.
On top of all of this, Dave, Chris Sabora, and Corey Baum had my bike apart and the throttle assembly swapped out so quickly that I didn't even miss a practice session on Saturday! Way to go guys! :beerchug:
Finally, Dave simply brings a level of calmness to the pits that is sorely needed when things seem to be falling apart.
THANK YOU so much for EVERYTHING you do to help us local weekend warriors!

p.s -- Everyone wish Raynor a speedy recovery -- he had a pretty bad crash this weekend.
Cheers,
Wendy
