That's a question for Phil Cook.
But I'm curious...what about it makes you think it wouldn't be?

Who knows? Just thought might be something that kept it from being legal in that class. WMRRA has had some odd rules that other orgs didn't (like certain coolant additives), that I am always wary of something outside of what everyone else is running. I don't spend a lot of time checking what bikes are legal for what classes that are not normally run in those classes (SV650s in 650SS)
It was just a quick question...
Rumor has it the Gladius puts out just a tad more RWHP than the SV650 in full stock trim. Might be a great rig with a pipe and a Penkse rear damper on it...??

It's legal.
Motor has a couple good points over the SV
Chassis has some bigger bad points

That's one rule that WMRRA has which isn't odd. What's strange about it?

I understand its due to the cams...if so...wonder if they'd be worth it on a superbike?

I think an even more interesting bike in this class would be this one right here (http://www.asphaltandrubber.com/bikes/fischer-motor-company-ramps-up-mrx-production/). With real suspension and braking components, it would be a total cheater bike. Only downside would be the Hyosung motor that's in it. 80hp and 50 ftlb? How does that compare to an SV motor?
346 lb. puts it quite a bit lighter than an SV too, right?

Looks perfect!
It makes 10+hp more than the SV.

To get a look at that Fischer, head to the IMS. It wasn't there last year, but two years ago I remember seeing one up on the upper balcony. Nobody was there manning the display, though, and there wasn't much info, but it did look like a good idea at an amazing price (Korean motor certainly helps with that). Since it is now a street legal bike that's being produced in enough volume, I don't see why the wouldn't be legal.
