View Full Version : penske 8760 triple clicker - SV650 or GSXR
Has less than a season worth of use at novice pace on SV650. Barry said it'll work on 04-05 GSXR with a different spring and existing valving. This means it should work for late model GSXR's with a minor change. 450lbs spring on it now, 400lbs spring included if you need it. Manual also included. $500 OBO.

Couple quick questions:
* Which generation SV650 did you have it on? (I'm looking for something to fit a '02 SV650 n)
* May I pry as to why you are selling?
Thanks!

It was on a second gen SV650. The bike it was on is long gone, I used the shock for my novice racing season. For SV's it seems to be critical to have height adjustment on the shock. With GSXR's you can shim the shock mount but on SV that is not possible.
From what I know first gen has a different linkage from 2nd gen so this shock won't work for you unfortunately. If you're on a budget look into installing one of the stock GSXR or Kawasaki shocks.

Yes the 1st gen requires a longer shock with a much stiffer spring than the 2nd gen.

This would fit a:
01-05 GSXR600
00-05 GSXR750
01-06 GSXR1000
03 up SV650
I think SV1000
Etc. etc.
Valving,Spring may need to be changed, 400 Lbs spring is real light
for an SV - probably came from of a 600(?)
400lbs spring is because I was going to put it in a 600 yes. Thanks Dave. Barry W said to put it into a GSXR there's no need to change valving, just the spring.
tentatively sold, actually.
