Well I am putting my Buell in the 'keeper' category in my shop, turning it back into a street fighter with the race motor and extras. It is a really fun bike, not so much when they throw a rod though :angry3:
I haven't watched the Buell video yet, but for sure the company was Erik's life, not sure if anyone saw him when Eslick tied up the championship but the guy has had a real roller coaster ride this last few months. I will definately miss the small company feel when dealing with Buell, try giving the race program director at Suzuki a call if you know who he is.
No doubt Harley are just doing what they think they need to do to stay afloat, which includes pulling the rug out from under Buell :shrug:

I had a hard time watching that video as well. Sadly, people like this are increasingly being replaced in corporate positions. Hell, I hear the new H-D CEO doesn't even ride.

Rumor has it 1125Rs can be found now new for under $7K. Are there any shops around here with such deals? That might make a fine collector.

My heart felt condolences to all the employees at Buell who worked so hard over the decades to create an American sportbike. Though I was never a fan of the Buell Motorcycle I have always respected what Buell was trying to do. God help us if we ever get in a trade war with Japan. We'll be racing 1920s technology with 21st century chrome.
